A rare spring in the heart of the Barrandien Geopark
You can now take a look at the surface of a mineral lake, which is located in the middle of the Barrandien Geopark, in the Karlštejnsko, Křivoklátsko and Brdy Forests Protected Landscape Area.
Near the Lavender Valley there is a rare spring of water under Kotýz, Svatý Jan pod Skalou and Plešivec. We also discovered a mineral spring in our Lavender Valley that helps with digestive, nervous and autoimmune problems.
Hardening and pleasant cooling on summer days
The lake is ready for hardening - for our visitors and for our guests. We have planted traditional European varieties of trees by the lake, which will provide coolness, shade and fragrance in combination with Organic lavender and Organic rose fields.
For those in the know, our cool mineral water lake, rich in beneficial minerals like Mg, Ca, Fe, Mn, Na, and B, awaits. Don your swimsuit and dive in!
Did you know that by immersing your body in cold water, you completely restore the function of mitochondria – our building blocks – and of course, you beneficially regenerate the nervous system, support the function of the cardiovascular system, improve the hormonal, musculoskeletal and digestive systems, not to mention your mind and soul?
For centuries, our ancestors embraced the power of cold water, forming the foundation of our phenomenal spa industry. This reverence for water is reflected in our hydrotherapy practices: from invigorating sprays and compresses to therapeutic baths, cooling treatments, wraps, steaming, and cleansing enemas. Water was not merely a necessity, but a carrier of life, a sacred object, and a ritual medium, with springs and wells particularly worshiped and honored with offerings.

Refreshments, specialties from the Czech calendar, aromatherapy and music therapy - all of this is part of the area.
And after you immerse yourself in the mineral lake and gaze at the sacred mountain Plešivec, you can enjoy one of our warm BIO teas to warm your body, mind and soul or a Cold Brew to refresh you on hot days. Whether on a deck chair, blanket, chair, swing or while walking, your experience will be unique.
The power of the elements hidden in the mineral seas of the Barrandien Geopark brings a unique source of energy and vitality. Precious biodynamic substances from Organic Lavandula Bohemia, Organic Damask Rose and other medicinal organic herbs support the harmony of body and mind.
Relax in the silence of an organic cherry orchard or under blooming sakura trees and let yourself be carried away by the magic of nature.
Water served as a symbol of spiritual and physical purification
Ritual baths were an integral part of traditional healing for both the Celts and Slavs. Our rare mineral wealth, combined with minerals and medicinal herbs, has created a reputation as a country with phenomenal spas.
Our rich balneological tradition is evident in landmarks like the first colonnades of David Becher, a testament to Europe's oldest spas in Teplice. It's further underscored by the rare Jáchymov radon, vital for treating severe musculoskeletal degenerative diseases, and Darkov iodine, a remarkable aid for thyroid health.
Healing springs were gradually discovered over the centuries, and already during the reign of Emperor Charles IV, we became renowned masters of balneotherapy not only in the Roman Empire, but later also in Austria-Hungary.

Minerals in water – natural defenses, strength of resistance
Hardening as such has long been a confirmed practice and procedure of holistic functional medicine.
Dedicating your time to strengthening your immunity, your body's natural ability to fight and successfully combat illness, takes effort. Diving into icy water when it's 0°C outside takes a certain amount of courage. But only in the first few days.
What happens next? We feel like we can break rocks and climb Mount Everest.
Your body will not only experience longevity, but will also feel rejuvenated. After a daily ice shower, you will notice visible changes – your skin will be brighter, your hair will be stronger, and your face will gain a fresh and positive expression with fewer wrinkles.
How ice water, extreme altitude and ambient conditions restore our inner strength is described by the legendary multiple world record holder Wim Hof.
Rostislav Václavek cured an incurable disease through daily hardening and breathing methods according to Buteyko.
Most traditional medicines – Arabic, European, Ayurvedic and Chinese – recommend hydrotherapy and hardening as an important part of taking care of the body, mind and soul.
What in case of inclement weather?
In case of unexpected rain, we are one of the few areas that has a covered hall with open sides and a view directly into the Organic fields, with wooden loungers and furs.
So even in autumn or early spring, you can draw on the elemental power and energy of the limestone seas of the Barrandien Geopark, or, conversely, cool down on hot days and read our mystical stories and legends of the surrounding castles, mountains, Koněpruske Caves, Lom Amerika, and sacred mountains and springs.

Hardening has been shown to strengthen immunity and bring a number of health benefits:
- Prevention of droplet infections, flu, colds and sore throats, overall reduces the risk of infection.
- Reduces high blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
- Supports the health of the cardiovascular system, strengthens blood vessels and the heart.
- Helps with mental and psychological difficulties.
- Provides prevention and support for autoimmune diseases.
- Contributes to the prevention of oncological diseases.
And there's more – we've also considered our youngest adventurers!
Water is an element and a gift of life, which is why we have prepared a trail for adults and children that will diversify your swimming and hardening.
To make your time by the water even more enjoyable, we have created an educational game about water and its history. Join us on a journey through the story of water as an ancient symbol of purification, which has always had a fundamental importance for humans, animals, crops and plants.
We will walk through the land of fairy tales and legends, where we will meet hejkals, water nymphs and little witches. We will recall old sayings, chronicles, holidays and traditions that have enriched our lives for centuries, as well as the lives of our ancestors. We will build on their wisdom and deep understanding of nature, of which water is an essential part.
